    Calcium chloride is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula CaCl₂. Because there is a wide difference on electronegativity(電負度) between calcium and chlorine, calcium chloride is usually called as an ionic compound. As a result, it can be easily dissolve in the water, a polar solvent. Besides, it is hygroscopic(吸水性). In other word, it can absorb water in the air.
